Happy Valentines Day

Ran 6 miles today...still sore from the Leg Workout I killed my clients with yesterday. The girls and I bought red heart cookies for Hubby's work.

Thought this was fun...

I have been absent from this blog for a while now....I have been busy. I have decided that before I have my next baby...I am going to run a Marathon. So I sent in my check, and signed up. On my side, that means commitment to the project. Needless to say, that means I have been running. Alot. Inbetween teaching Stroller Strides Classes, my small business on the side, I have been logging 20+ miles each week. Yes, pushing a jogger with 2 little ones inside. (about 80 pounds)

I used to run alot. Before I had children, I ran for about 15 years. It is an addiction for me.

So, for anyone who reads this, if I am gone here and there, you can find me on the road.

Addicted to Coffee

My husband thinks I am addicted to coffee. Maybe I am. I go to bed, just to wake up and make it. It isn't just is a Cafe Latte, with carmel syrup. Yum. I got a Espresso maker last week, and love it. Yes it will save us money in the long run, but it is also nice to know that I can have my coffee rain, drizzle, or shine, without taking my children out of the house, into the car, into starbucks, and then back to the car again...poor little ones. One of Mia's first words was "Starbucks". That was her answer when you asked her where she got her chocolate milk.

Last Friday was my birthday. I turned 34. We had a huge dinner party at a local resturaunt. It was great..a little crazy with 24 people.
I have enough money now to buy my new camera lens. Can't wait!

Looking forward to another week!

Sweet Sarah..

Sweet Sarah just woke I had a couple of quiet moments with her, getting her back to sleep...and reminded me of this peom my mom once gave me...

Babies Don't Keep

Cleaning and scrubbing
Can wait till tomorrow,
For babies grow up
We've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs,
Dust go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby,
And babies don't keep.

Each night when I am awake with her at 2, or 3 or 4 am, I think about all the other moms in the world that are doing the same exact thing at that moment.
I cherish those sleepy times, and will be sad when they are done.

Most children, when they put their head on your shoulder face away from you. Sarah faces in. It is one of the sweetest moments of motherhood so far.
Good night sweet Sarah.

Looking back..

Both kids are napping..recovering from one of the many colds they will have this year...poor Sarah...I was told that nursing her would save her from this for a she just has a hard time breathing and nursing at the same time. So sad. I use the snot sucker, but that just makes her mad.
My birthday is on Friday. I will be 34. Mia says she is going to bring me lots of a new Thomas the Train. Oh if she could only realize that she and Sarah are the greatest presents I have ever had. I need nothing else besides those two little faces staring up at me, smiling, or even dripping booger noses.
God has been SO faithful to me in my life. He has brought me out of the trenches into this heaven on earth...a wonderful husband whom I adore...two beautiful living angels, and all of my needs fulfilled.

Who would have known that 10 years ago I was single, had almost died from a brain anuerism, living in South Korea, digging myself out of debt, and an unkown path in front of me. I trusted God with it all, and this is where I can be found today. One word: BLESSED. Okay...two TRULY BLESSED.

It can be hard to remember this every day. I get wrapped up in the little things that seem to be more important. When I should count the cost of what Jesus Christ did for me on the cross. He died so that I may have the life I live today. WOW.

I pray each night that my girls would not have to learn the lessons that I have..that I might pass my knowledge onto them. That they might come to know Christ as their saviour at a young age. And follow the path he has for them.

I think I have made them before...lose weight, get to the gym more, eat healthier etc. Sometimes I follow through, sometimes not.
This year, it will be about family. Truly enjoy each day with my daughters. Days can be fun and easy, or hard and dicouraging. My motto since becoming a mother..."This too shall pass" It has proven to be true.

I said good bye to Starbucks today. We made the big leap and bought our own Barista! Now if I can just recall my Starbucks days and make my own...I will be a happier person in the morning. And much richer at the end of the year...saving $3.30 money spent on extras, like chocolate milk for Mia.
The employees asked me to come back and sad is that?

Well the rain is still pouring here...going to go and clean.
