End of summer Updates..

Wow, I can't believe how busy life is. This blog has been left to fend for itself for awhile. I guess it doesn't write about life here in the Brooke household on it's own! Darn computers, thought they did everything!

Well, summer has come and gone. Mia starts pre-school this coming Monday. I don't think she is looking forward to it, so I have been bribing her with new shoes to get her going...

We just got back from Disneyland. I ran the Disney Half marathon, and won! Ha! Yeah right! 2 hours and 45 minutes was my time (Not bad for scorching temps! And I stopped along the way to take my pictures with every character that was out there cheering us on!) A lot better than my first half 2 years ago....3 hours and 20 minutes....but give me a break, I WAS 3 months pregnant and not training back then!

A little bit about that day at Disney ...when I got up at 4:30 am ( I really got up at 2:30, as Sarah and Emma woke up crying, and Emma didn't go back down until 4:25) to get ready for the race it was already 77 degrees out. The race started at 6 am. When I was done with the race at 8:30 it was somewhere between 95 and 100!

Later that morning we went to Disneyland and the girls wore their princess dresses..the poor things looked like they were going to melt! Thank goodness we had the hotel pool we could refresh in!

Our house is still for sale. It has been 4 months now. We are currently working on doing some painting, and yard work. Heck, if we keep this up, we might want to stay! Ha Ha! Yeah right! Not unless you somehow attach a HUGE yard to the property, which would mean taking out the house next to us...don't think our neighbors would enjoy that very much!

I have found a house that I love. I hope it is still available when we are ready to buy. It is perfect for us. I will just wait and see. I know GOD has a perfect plan for us. And we have been patiently awaiting for it to happen.

Emma has started crawling. She has her first two teeth, and two more on the way. Oh, how I wish they would just pop through, and she would be her happy self again. Her first birthday is about 6 weeks away. I can't believe how fast time has gone by!

Hunting season has begun for Paul. He is enjoying his "man time" I am still really enjoying my job with Team in Training. It keeps me busy.

I think that is all for now...nap time is over. On to dinner.
